2010 Friends' Memberships
It is time to renew your Friends of the Reserve membership for 2010. Click on the Membership page on this site to download your membership form.Fill it out with your pertinent information, send it in with your check, and you're set for another year as a member in this dynamic organization.
If you're in the neighborhood, stop in at the Reserve Visitor Center where the staff can help you with your membership renewal.

CHILI & BREAD CONTEST WINNERS
The chile and bread contests at the Reserve's Winter Fest, sponsored by the La Farge Lions Club, were well attended. Winners in the chili contest were, Tucker Lee in the People's Choice Category and Larry Wruck won the Judge's Choice. Terry Beck's No Knead bread recipe was the winner in both bread categories. The La Farge Lions took in nearly $400 in tasting fees for the event and will donate that amount to the Reserve's education programming.
FRIENDS PHOTO CALENDARS!
The Friends of the Reserve photo contest calendars are still available at the Visitor Center. The calendar features entries from this year's photo contest and feature the beauty of the Kickapoo Valley. All twelve winning entries are featured and other seasonal photo entries are included on this 2010 calendar. The price for this beautiful collection of award winning photographs is only $12, $15 mailed. Contact the Reserve at 608 625-2960 to place your orders.

RAILS TO TRAILS
Join Jim Moorhead, a ranger at Wildcat Mountain State Park, as he leads a discussion on the past, present, and future of the Rail to Trails movement in Wisconsin. Jim's talk is Wednesday evening, March 24 at the KVR Visitor Center, starting at 6:30 PM. This program is part of the Driftless Dialogue III series brought to you by the Kickapoo Valley Reforestation (Nuzum) Fund.

FRIENDS' GIFTS FOR FRIENDS
The Friends of the Reserve offer unique gift ideas at their sales table at the Reserve's Visitor Center. Choose from the selection of four local history books, matted prints of Kickapoo photography, collector wall-hanging plates, water bottles, Fair-Trade coffee, a selection of note cards, or T-shirts. The Visitor Center is open for your shopping pleasure from 8 AM until 4:30 PM, Monday thru Saturday.
