Birds & Breakfast on The Reserve Join us for a morning of birding and a gourmet breakfast on Saturday, May 24. It all starts at 7:30 a.m. with an early bird walk with experienced birding guides Barbara Duerksen and Kelly Rueckheim. Then enjoy a locally catered breakfast featuring seasonal delicacies at 9:30 at the Visitor Center. The new "Birds of the Kickapoo Valley Reserve Guide & Checklist" will be introduced at 10:00 followed by Craig Thompson speaking on "From Tundra to Tropics: The Exciting Lives of Wisconsin's Breeding Birds". Registration is required and cost to Friends' members is only $4.



La Farge students get ready to plant prairie grass seed at the Star Valley site on the Reserve. Friends' members Carol Persons, Ron Johnson, and Ben Johnson helped the students.
