We Are Friends of Kickapoo Valley Reserve
Volunteers united by a love for this unique treasure.
Friends of Kickapoo Valley Reserve is a member-powered nonprofit made up entirely of volunteers united by an appreciation for the Kickapoo Valley Reserve. Friends members do the hands-on work—events, outreach, and fundraising. The 7-member board of directors sets priorities with the KVR, recruits and supports volunteers, organizes fundraising, and stewards resources so the work can happen.
History
Founded in 2002, the Friends of the Kickapoo Valley Reserve has continued to support the KVR through volunteer work, fundraising, and public outreach. The efforts of hundreds of volunteers over the years has resulted in strong education programs, improved trails, acres of restored habitat, and countless laughs shared at many joyful events at KVR.Â
