Events

Friends of KVR hosts and supports events with volunteer roles like setup, leading hikes, bringing food, supervising, and cleanup—essential to making each event a success.

Gift Shop

Friends of KVR manage the visitor center gift shop. Volunteers help choose and price products, refresh displays, clean, track inventory, and staff the shop during events. Proceeds support KVR programs and projects.

Office Tasks

Are you savvy with Excel or have an eye for designz? Is social media your thing? The Friends of KVR could always use a hand with those office tasks that call for someone with computer and phone skills.

Gardens

Friends of KVR maintain the circle drive and Star Valley memorial gardens. Volunteers meet every other Tuesday from 5:15–7 p.m. to tend the gardens, then gather for refreshments and conversation.

Board of Directors

The Friends of the Kickapoo Valley Reserve board of directors is comprised of seven members. Board members must be a member of the Friends of the Reserve. Board meetings are usually held every month.

Volunteer at Events

Events are one of the best ways to get involved — and we always need extra hands! Whether you can help set up, lend a hand during the event, or stay to clean up afterward, your time and energy make a big difference.
