Instructions for Transferring Securities to Friends of Kickapoo Valley Reserve
1. STEP ONE: Please notify Kickapoo Valley Reserve of your intended stock gift by calling 608 625-2960 or emailing kickapoo.reserve@KRM.state.wi.us
2. STEP TWO: Prior to transfer, please call (or have your broker call) Margaret Severson, 608 637-7233 at Edward Jones, with the following information:
a) your name
b) account name (Friends of Kickapoo Valley Reserve)
c) broker’s name, firm, and direct phone number
d) name of securities
e) approximate number of shares
f) approximate value of securities
g) expected date of wire transfer
h) intended purpose of the gift (e.g. general purposes, endowment, etc.)
Please instruct your broker to wire our bank YOUR NAME and FRIENDS OF KICKAPOO VALLEY RESERVE NAME. Each year we receive some stock gifts by wire that carry neither the donor’s name nor our name. This “blind” stock sits unclaimed in our account and delays acknowledgement to the donor.
3. STEP THREE: Please have your broker wire the stock to Friends of Kickapoo Valley Reserve’s account.

We will send an acknowledgment letter within one week of the receipt of stock. For your tax purposes, your gift will be valued at the average of the high and low prices on the date Friends of Kickapoo Valley Reserve assumes ownership of the stock.
